I95, Rethunk

If you were unable to snag one of the free tickets to tonight’s Reimagining Urban Highways discussion at Drexel’s Academy of Natural Sciences, you’ll be able to live stream it starting at 6:30.

Tonight’s discussion features the voices of

  • Streetsblog founding editor Aaron Naparstek
  • Ashwin Balakrishnan, the Coordinator of the Southern Bronx River Watershed Alliance, a collaboration of Bronx-based community organizations and city-wide advocacy organizations working primarily to remove the Sheridan Expressway and replace it with housing, open space, and economic opportunities for the South Bronx
  • Thomas Deller, the Executive Director of Planning & Development for Providence – a city along I-95 that is working to create a “Knowledge District”
  • Diana Lind, the Editor in Chief of Next American City
  • Peter Park, former planning director for both the cities of Milwaukee and Denver

If you were one of the luckies who has a ticket, then you’ll be arriving at 6 p.m. to The Academy of Natural Sciences in Logan Square (1900 Benjamin Franklin Parkway).
